Mrs. Mitchell has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors, won the college literature award, and served as editor of her college newspaper. She holds a Master of Arts degree in literature from Marquette University where she also served as a Teaching Assistant for two years. She pursued Ph.D. studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also taught literature at Mount Mary College and later at Brookfield Academy. Mrs. Mitchell oversees the yearly Trinity Academy spring pilgrimage to Rome, and she has assisted students in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation in Rome for the past ten years.
“I am passionate about teaching students both literature and religion, and I believe students, even very young students, are capable of great competence in studying and understanding their faith as well as learning how to read serious pieces of literature. I find students filled with joy and goodness, eager to be challenged, and capable of great maturity and kindness. Our middle school forensics students sweep most competitions they enter, and they do so by being well trained, happy, and respectful. Working with them literally fills me with joy. In today’s world, there is so much to be done to serve youth, educate them well, and love them. I thank our Lord that He has given me the opportunity to do all of the above. We offer our work at Trinity Academy to Mary the Mother of God, and beg her assistance in all that we do.”
